David L. Ratliff D.V.M.

Dr. David Ratliff, owner of Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1983 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1988. He has been the owner of Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital since 1989.
He is married to Dr. Mickie Ratliff, a clinical Pharmacist. They have 2 children, Melody and Michael.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ratliff enjoys flying, 4-wheeling, sea-dooing, and camping. He is an Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts, serves on the Advisory Board at BB&T Bank, past President and current board member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains, past President of the Sevierville Rotary Club, past Chairman of the Board of the Robert F. Thomas Foundation, past Board of Directors of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce, and a member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville.
Professionally, Dr. Ratliff is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association. |
Amy J. Thomason D.V.M.

Since joining the staff at Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital in May of 2002, Dr. Thomason’s enthusiasm and passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to her clients, has surely been recognized and a welcomed addition to our medical team.
Dr. Amy Jones Thomason received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryville College. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee in 2002.
In her free time, Dr. Thomason enjoys spending time with husband Tim, daughter Audrey, and son, Reid. Her dog "Chipper" is also a special member of her family. Hobbies include shopping and cooking, especially trying out new recipes. Veterinary interests include feline medicine, ophthalmology as well as ultrasonography
Dr. Thomason is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical
Association.
As for future goals, Dr. Thomason intends to continue to practice the highest quality of medicine and to provide our clients and their beloved pets, the utmost in care, compassion, and service. |
Wayne Lilly D.V.M.

Dr. Wayne Lilly is a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee, earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He was an Animal of Science major at U.T. and also attended the Volunteer State Community College. Dr. Lilly has been an integral part of Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital since joining our staff in 1998.
While away from the hospital, animals are still very much apart of Dr. Lilly’s life. He and his wife Karen, enjoy spending time with their 2 daughters and grand-daughter. They share their farm with a quantity of horses, rabbits, dogs and cats, not to mention several other furry friends. Hobbies include beekeeping and gardening.
Dr. Lilly has continued to further his skills by attending advanced educational courses in dentistry and surgery. His goals are to continue learning new treatments and diagnostics by continuing these courses and to give our clients the best veterinary care available.

Paula Tillett

Paula joined the staff of Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 1999, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience. Growing up on a large rural farm in Kentucky, and her immense love for animals, drew Paula into the profession at an early age. Her enthusiasm and professionalism have been a welcomed addition to our staff, and it is always apparent that she is very proud of the career that she has chosen and finds great satisfaction in her work.
In her spare time, Paula enjoys spending time in our beautiful Smokey Mountains with her husband Tom and their kids and grandkids. She also loves spending time with “Gidget” her toy poodle.
As her job title includes being the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Ratliff as well as Office Manager, she enjoys meeting our clients and their pets and invites everyone to drop in for a tour or to call or email her with any questions or concerns. Her goal is to make sure that Mountain Home Veterinary Hospital exceeds your expectations for the care and well-being of your pet. |
Richelle Luomala

Richelle joined our team at Mountain Home on August 31, 2001. Richelle was hired as a Patient Care Technician in our kennel and is very dedicated to making our patients as comfortable as possible, and takes a great deal of pride in her work. Richelle also enjoys playing with our boarding animals and loves to spoil them while there parents are away. Tummy rubs are her specialty!
In her free time, Richelle enjoys spending time with her husband Troy and their fur babies. She also enjoys collecting Boyd’s Bears and horseback riding.
As for future goals, Richelle would love to have her own horse for those lazy day horseback rides in our beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Hollie Sparks

Hollie joined the staff of Mountain Home on May 18, 2006, bringing with her a great respect and unconditional love for animals. Being a pet owner for many years has given Hollie an upper edge on patient care, and her enthusiasm and warm heart has become a wonderful attribute to our reception area.
In her spare time, Hollie enjoys going to church and spending time with hubby, Michael and son, Evan. Her other past-time is spoiling dogs, “Queen Gizmo” and “Shadow”.
Hollie’s goals consist of continuing to be a good wife and mom and to do the very best at whatever she chooses in life.

Belinda Stewart, Professional Groomer

The doctors and staff were pleased to welcome Belinda to our team in April of 2006, bringing with her more than 30 years of grooming experience. Her knowledge of the grooming world and her love and patience with each and every pet that comes in to see her, has made her a wonderful addition to our family here at Mountain Home.
In her spare time, when not relaxing at home with family, animals remain a large part of Belinda’s life. Pets include 2 horses, 1 African Grey, 1 Cockatoo, 2 cats, and 9 dogs. She enjoys being a breeder of Toy Chihuahua’s and Miniature Pinschers.
